This spicy sweet treat gets a double dose of zing from dried and crystallized ginger. Proportions are given for one serving, but you can easily adjust the ginger for a larger quantity of ice cream.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup good quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
- 1/8 teaspoon powdered ginger
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped crystallized ginger
Preparation:
Place the ice cream in a bowl and sprinkle with the powdered ginger. Stir until the ginger is well distributed. Stir in the chopped crystallized ginger.
Enjoy immediately. If you prefer firmer ice cream, cover and return to the freezer until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.
